Just purchased TouchControl 1.85. For something that just wakes up the phone, I wonder why does it needs the following permissions:
- Network communication: full network access
It downloads modules from my webserver, they are not stored in the APK (this way I can easily push modules without updating the app.

I think it's required to get whether internet is available on the device

It's for licence check. It's sending it to my server.
But really, any app that you grant root access is capable of doing absolutely anything with your phone. So these permissions just doesn't make any sens. A root app can without a problem prune your device, make it unbootable (by overwriting crucial partitions like bootloader). Or do any evil thing you can imagine.
