Nexus 4 (and 5) Kitkat 4.4 Issues
Nexus 4 (and 5) Kitkat 4.4 Issues
Hi,
I'm on Kitkat, all stock, rooted.
I had Touch Cotrol download the modified stock kernel and all seemed to be working fine.
After some time, though, I found that when phone enters deep sleep mode it's difficult to wake the screen by double tapping it.
If I turn off the screen with the power button and double tap immediately the awkening is responsive as it should be, but if I leave the phone for a while (some minutes) it works only 1/10 of a time (if ever).
Slide to lock (the other motion I'm using) works perfectly all the time.
Thanks for your hard work! ^__^

Re: Kitkat 4.4 Issues
I'm having the same issues as above (Nexus 5 stock rooted). Works great until it sits for a while and sleeps.
Re: Kitkat 4.4 Issues
Oh, I forgot to say I'm on a Nexus 4.
Re: Nexus 4 (and 5) Kitkat 4.4 Issues
Doubletap on N4 should be fixed now (uninstall, reboot, install). But on N5 it's going to be very difficult to fix since the TS driver just freaks out on first touch

Works perfectly on Nexus 4. Thanks.
I forgot to take note of the customized settings, though. Ouch. >___<
The pixels must be intended as 2x of the resolution of the screen, is that correct?
Yep, reconfigured. ^__^

I wish I had known that before I bought the app. It was working right off the bat great, so I thought sweet but now it is really useless as is. Hopefully you can find a work around.ponury wrote:Doubletap on N4 should be fixed now (uninstall, reboot, install). Re: Nexus 4 (and 5) Kitkat 4.4 Issues
I updated my Nexus7 (2013) to 4.4 and I can confirm it works.
I still don't know if it's mandatory to restore stock kernel to apply the OTA update (I realized I had Cerberus set has a system app, so that could be the cause of my first install failure).
Does uninstalling TC restore the original kernel?
I usually unload TC modules and reflash unmodified stock from Nexus Tool Kit for OTA updates, but I'd be glad to know if there is a faster way.

I am pretty sure that with modified stock kernel you won't be able to flash OTA (but you should be able to "receive" and download it.
Also uninstalling TC doesn't restore kernel. I might add an option to backup kernel and just reflash from within the app.

So kind of you, I appreciate it! ^___^
Anyway, with being so easy to restore the original kernel with Nexus Toolkit, I don't think it would be worth the effort.
